I just finished reading Daddy’s Girl by Lisa Scottoline and Presumption of Guilt by Terri Blackstock. Both very good books. I am currently reading Jordan’s Crossing by Randall Arthur.
When I read “Christian” Fiction I find so many meaningfull messages that I want to to write down. I am going to use this website to do this. They may mean nothing to you, but have significant meaning to me in one way or another.
There have been several inspiring messages in prior books I have read. I wish I would have taken the time to write some of them down for my personal reference. What I have honestly learned through Christian Fiction authors is they know how to put out a great mystery thriller with a bonus. A meaningful message to get you pondering. Also, the author gets you thinking about where you stand with God. If you don’t believe I challenge you to read one of these books listed below. It may just change the way you currently feel.
The characters in these various book go through many trials and they are determined to handle them all alone. Especially the book Jordan’s Crossing, by Randall Arthur. The characters will eventually realize that they need to depend on God to direct them. Not Man! It’s a shame how all of us like to make things in life so much harder on us then it needs to be. If we as Christians could comfortable open up our feelings (I mean really open up to the raw) and not be afraid of people using it as gossip, we would all be able to mend our wounds much easier. We all endure pain and we all need to love each other and more importantly listen with an open heart. We need to shed our hard “pretend everything is okay” shell.
I would like to share a couple of quotes that reached out to me in the book of Jordan’s Crossing. Pg 216 3rd Para. says, “Inevitably, a person who becomes his own god tends to fuel his own basic selfishness. At a great expense to others, he ultimately ends up respecting no one but himself.
Pg. 232 Para. 5. “A man reaps what he sows. . .the one who sows to please his sinful nature will reap destruction, but the one who sows to please the Spirit will reap life.” (Book of Galatians)
